The 2021 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Region teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America Committee.
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region first-team selections are nominated for ABCA/Rawlings All-America honors. The ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Div. II All-Americans will be announced on Friday, June 4. The ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove teams for all divisions will be announced Wednesday, June 23.
Carson Eby and Nolan Anspaugh were named First Team All-Region followed by Noah Marcoux as a Second Team All-Region selection. All three juniors helped the Panthers to the NCAA Midwest Regional championship game and post an overall record of 33-16. Eby started at catcher in 25 games this season and played in 48 games. He batted .351 with 42 runs, a single-season record with 23 doubles, four home runs and 51 RBI. He was one of four Panthers to drive in 50-plus runs this season. Eby reached base 42.3 percent of the time and had a .964 fielding percentage.
Anspaugh started all 49 games in center field for the Panthers in 2021 and batted leadoff 32 times and hit third in the lineup 17 times. He hit .373 this season with 64 runs, 14 doubles, seven triples, 12 home runs and 54 RBI. He also led the team with 18 stolen bases and reached base 43.5 percent of the time. He slugged .675 and fielded at a .976 clip with just three errors all season in 125 chances.
Marcoux led the team with a .392 batting average and started all 49 games at first base. He fielded .992 with just three errors in 383 chances. Marcoux had one of the best power seasons in DU history with a .722 slugging percentage, 18 doubles, two triples and 14 home runs. He drove in 62 runs and also scored 54 times. He walked 31 times and had a .483 on-base percentage.
