How It Happened
The Panthers knew that any game on the road is tougher than playing at home and that they needed to get the game started in their favor. Davenport did just that, the Panthers scored the opening two goals of the game to take a 2-0 lead. Brenna Knoll scored the first and then Taylor Ries scored the second, the two assisted each other on their respective goals. The Golden Bears responded with two of their own goals and the game was deadlocked at 2-2. Mirroring the start of the game, Davenport scored two more goals, taking a two-goal lead, and then the Golden Bears scored two to tie the game at four. Concordia-St. Paul scored two unanswered at the end of the half to take a one goal lead into halftime.

The Golden Bears opened the second half by increasing their lead to three goals, taking an 8-5 lead. Davenport needed a response and got it in the form of three straight goals. Aaliyah Miller scored the first of the three-goal run, scoring on an unassisted effort. Less than one minute later, Brenna Knoll got a pass from Ryann Deuel and put the ball into the back of the net. The game-tying goal was scored by Miller with 13:14 to go in the game. After a goal by CSP, Miller scored another goal to tie the game 9-9 with just 8:17 left on the clock. After Miller scored, the Golden Bears scored three unanswered goals to close the game. Davenport was able to get two shots on goal down the stretch, but one was blocked another saved by the CSP goalie.
