Janeau Joubert, 3:10 into the game. The Timberwolves strung a few baskets together and took a 9-7 lead heading into the first media timeout. The score was deadlocked at 13-13 and
Chris Rollins broke the tie with a three, assisted by
Tafari Beckford. Shortly after, Beckford blew past his defender and finished a layup on the left side of the hoop to give DU an 18-13 advantage. Davenport continued to grow their lead as Hudson-Emory nailed a pair of free throws and the Panthers led by eight points. On the next offensive possession, Rollins nailed a three, giving Davenport a seven-point advantage. The Timberwolves would not go away, cutting the lead down to three points.
