GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Purdue Northwest on Saturday in a match played indoors at Grand Rapids Racquet Club. The Panthers lost for the fifth straight time and are now 1-7 overall and 0-7 in the GLIAC.
The Panthers took one point in doubles by winning at the one and two spot.
Adeline Nelson and
Willemien Coetzee had a convincing 6-1 win at the one spot.
Danica Malan and
Vladislava Shumilova had a 6-4 win at two doubles.
Purdue Northwest won five of the six singles matches. The lone win for Davenport was Shumilova at four singles. She won 4-6, 6-2, 6-4.
