GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers continued their extremely tough end of the year schedule with a home game vs Grand Valley State University. The Lakers came into the game ranked number 13 in the country and only one loss in conference play. Davenport was unable to slow down the Lakers offense in the game, as Grand Valley scored 19 goals.

How It Happened
Slow starts have haunted the Panthers throughout this season and Davenport got off to another one against the Lakers. Grand Valley scored the opening 11 goals of the game before Davenport got on the board.
Addie Bethune was the first to strike for the Panthers in the game. Bethune scored with 3:58 remaining in the first period on an unassisted effort. Following her goal the Lakers ended the game scoring eight unanswered goals, shutting out Davenport in the second period.
