GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Panthers opened up at home Wednesday evening with a match up against Purdue University-North Central. DU jumped out on top of the visiting Panthers with a nine-run second inning on their way to an 18-1 win in seven innings as they advanced their overall record to 13-7.

Travis Bolin got the offense started for DU with a triple in the bottom of the first inning and scored on a Zack Sardellitti single as a part of the two-run DU first inning. The Panthers would open up the game in the second with nine more runs on nine hits to take a commanding 11-0 lead after two.

Connor Seymour knocked a two-run triple to right field and Bolin followed with a double to right field that scored Seymour to spark the big second inning.
