HOLLAND, Mich. - The Davenport men's tennis team traveled to Hope College and picked up a 6-3 win on Tuesday. The Panthers took two of three in the doubles portion and narrowly dropped the third matchup.
Matthew Boyle and
Michael Digby cruised to an 8-1 win at one doubles over Michael Kiley and Andrew Klein. JP van Antwerpen and
Kevin Slagh battled to an 8-5 win at two doubles over Mark VanderStoep and Christian Rhoades.
Matthew McClurg had a straight sets win at one singles (6-1, 6-4) over Kiley. Boyle got his second point for the team at three singles in three sets over VanderStoep (6-7, 7-5, 11-9). Digby picked up a win at four singles over Rhoades (7-5, 6-2). Slagh defeated Justin Folkert at five singles by scores of 6-1, 6-3.
