GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The score did not indicate the lopsided play on Wednesday in a 1-0 win over Aquinas for the Davenport men's soccer team. The Panthers recorded 32 shots compared to two from the Saints. Davenport had 15 shots on goal while the only shot on goal for Aquinas came in the second half.
The Panthers needed just one goal as it came from
Cam Cavanagh who has scored in back-to-back matches for the first time this season. Cavanagh's third goal of the season at 60:31 was listed as unassisted.
Brogan Shrimpton and
Tyler Collishaw each led the team with three shots on goal for Davenport. Ty VandePoel made 13 saves for the Saints to keep them in the contest.
