GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Panthers continued their consistent play Friday night as they won their third straight match. Davenport took down Concordia University, 3-0, to improve to 6-6, 2-1 on the season.
Davenport controlled play from the beginning as they were led by
Molly Lameyer and
Krissy Dill who tallied 11 and 10 kills respectively. The Panthers took set one after they broke a 12-12 stalemate with three straight points to control the set. They then rallied from a 7-to-3 deficit early in set two to take the commanding 2-0 match lead.
Sami White contributed to the Panther attack with 32 assists and added eight digs. The Defense was led by
Morgan Torres and
Kasey Stehouwer as they combined for 27 digs. Davenport would go on to sweep the Cardinals as they controlled the final set from the beginning on their way to a 25-16 final. This win gives the Panthers a 2-1 record in WHAC play and puts them just one game back in the standings.
