GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. –
KC Dunne went two for four with a run scored in game one, and three for three with a three run shot in the third inning of game two to lead the No. 16 Davenport Softball team to a pair of home victories over Indiana Tech Wednesday afternoon at the Farmer's Insurance Athletic Complex. Both
Emily Maves and
Alyssa Eastman went the distance for the Panthers in each game as Eastmen went threw seven scoreless frames in the second contest and struck out nine.

Game 1 – Davenport 6, Indiana Tech. 2After shutting down the side to begin the first contest, Maves (14-3) allowed her first homerun since March. 13 as Indiana Tech. took an early 1-0 lead heading into the bottom half of the second inning.
Sarah Schneidenbach would even things up in the Panthers' next at bat as she lined one up the middle to drive in
Alyssa Koziol who reached on a lead off double.

Koziol would lead a three run third inning as she recorded her first of two RBI's by knocking in
Paige Sant'Angelo.
Haley Obetts and and
McKenzie Rowe also drove in runs in the third, giving Maves and the Panthers a 4-1 lead after three.

Carli SanMillan reached on base to start things off in the fourth, which was followed by a
KC Dunne single up the middle. Dunne was able to advance to second on a throwing error that also ended up scoring SanMilan from second base. Koziol then record her third hit and second RBI shortly after to put the Panthrs up 6-1.

Maves would settle into cruise control for the remainder of the contest, only allowing three hits which included two in the seventh that made resulted in the Warrior's second and final run of the game. Maves finished game one racking up nine strikeouts while allowing five hits and five walks.

Game 2 – Davenport 4, Indiana Tech. 0Game two saw scoreless action up until the bottom of the third inning when Dunne blasted her team high eighth homerun of the season that drove in three runs to give the Panthers a 3-0 lead.

In the sixth,
Lauren Groendyk tripled for the first time all season, scoring
Lindsay Tasma to put Davenport up 4-0.

Eastman (11-1) went the distance for the Panthers, allowing three hits and striking out nine. Eastman however walked six different Warrior batters, but left every single one of them stranded on base.

Davenport's eight-game home stand continues this Saturday and Sunday as the Panthers host Michigan-Dearborn and Madonna for a pair of double headers at the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex.
