BEAVERCREEK, Ohio - The Davenport men's and women's bowling teams traveled to the state of Ohio on Oct. 17-18 for the Orange and Black Classic hosted by the University of Pikeville. The men's team finished 15th out of 26 teams while the women's team finished 22nd out of 26 teams. The men's team bowled five games on an individual basis and then bowled 16 baker games during the tournament. DU had a total pinfall of 7,133 broken down into 4,130 team game and 3,003 baker game. The Panthers started off with three team games in the 700's and then finished strong with a 873 in game four and a 966 in game five. The team also cracked the 200-plateau in four of the 16 baker games including a 214 in game five, 203 in game nine and 210 in game 13.
Kyle Koprowitz averaged 177 for the five team games as the top finisher for DU.
Sean Taylor averaged 173.2 in his five games including a 202 in the fifth game.
Dionte Johnson finished with an average of 171 and had a high game of 216 in the fifth game for the Panthers.
The women's team was led by
Olivia Clark who finished 17th in a field of 160 bowlers with an average of 201.6. Clark rolled three straight 200-games to start the five-game block including a 235 in game two.
Taylor Rickard placed 34th with an average of 188.4 and rolled a 235 in game four.
Anna Sieffert bowled four games out of five possible and averaged 148.75.
