Bowlers Compete in WHAC Jamboree #1

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. - The Davenport bowling teams traveled to the WHAC Jamboree #1 on Saturday and finished near the bottom of the standings. The men's side was sixth while the women's side was seventh.

The Panther men averaged 966.11 and had a grand total of 6,956 between four regular games and four baker games. The Panther women averaged 818.33 in ths same format with a grand total of 5,892.

The guys were led by Adam Batliner who placed 27th in total pinfall and 30th in total average with a 193.25. He bowled a 220 in the second game of a four-game set. Travis Schreer had the 38th-best pinfall and 44th-best average at 185.75. Schreer cracked 200 in the first two games with a 201 and 211. Ryan O'Rourke placed 43rd in total pinfall and 55th in average at 178.5. His best game was a 212 in the third game.

Taylor Rickard had a top-10 finish for the ladies in eighth place for total pinfall and average at 188.5. She bowled a 209 in the second game. Olivia Clark was one spot behind in ninth place averaging 188. Clark rolled a team-best 235 in the second game. Jazzmen Esparza finished 23rd in pinfall and 29th in average at 171. Her 212 in the second game continued a strong trend for the Panthers.
