Davenport Athletic NetworkGRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After the men's lacrosse team held off Minnesota-Duluth in a 12-11 win last Saturday, Davenport is back in action this week with two CCLA games. The Panthers will start the week off against Central Michigan on Wednesday, followed up by a game in East Lansing, Mich. against Michigan State on Saturday. Faceoff against Central Michigan is at 7:30 p.m. on the DU Turf Field and the game will be broadcast live on the Davenport Athletic Network.

Live Video The Chippewas enter the match up with a 3-6 overall record and is 1-2 in the CCLA with their only conference win coming against Ohio University. Leading the team in goals is Kyle Harris with 22 on the season, while James Gentile and Jack Grady lead the team in points and assists with 34 and 16, respectively. In net, Grant Meade has played the majority of the games as he has appeared in eight of the 11 games. Meade has a .524 save percentage and an 8.50 goals against average.

Michigan State will enter the weekend ranked fourth in the MCLA after a 9-5 win over Minnesota-Duluth. The Spartans are 9-2 on the season and are 4-0 in the CCLA. After back-to-back losses to BYU and Colorado State, Michigan State has rattled off seven straight wins coming into the weekend. Leading the team this season has been senior net minder Matt Allemang, who has appeared in all 11 games this season posting a 5.82 goals against average and a .660 save percentage.
The Panthers will kickoff the week against Central Michigan on the DU Turf Field at 7:30 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the Davenport Athletic Network.
