Grand Rapids, Mich. – Thirteen different players recorded points for Davenport Wednesday night, as the Panthers cruised passed conference foe Siena Heights 88-55 Wednesday night.
Thomas Drew led the team with 15 points, and
Dominez Burnett tacked on 14 of his own, which ends Burnett's four game streak of scoring at least 20 points or more. Davenport now sits at 9-1 on the season, and 5-0 in the WHAC. The Panthers will hit the road and travel across town to take on No. 14 Cornerstone this Saturday at 3 p.m.
Â
Thomas Drew's 15 points was a season high for the redshirt-senior, who also added three rebounds to the stat sheet on the night.
Bishop Robinson (12) and
Nick Gamble (11) also recorded double-digit points for the Panthers, and were a combined 2-3 from the free-throw line.
Â
Davenport jumped out to a 20-10 lead with 10:48 left in the first half, and never saw their lead fall under 10 points for the remainder of the entire game. The Panthers took a 46-25 lead into the halftime break.
Â
Davenport shot 47.4 percent from the field in the first half, while holding Siena Heights to 37.9 percent. The Panthers forced nine Saint turnovers with three of those steals coming from Dawid Scerniawski.
Â
The second half saw a similar story as Davenport's margin of lead stayed above 20 points the entire half, and finally reached 30 closer towards the end of the game. The Panthers managed to raised their field goal percentage to a staggering 50 percent, while holding Siena Heights to only 29 percent.
Â
The Panthers combined for 13 steals on the night, with
Jason Jordan, Czerniawski, and Gamble all totaling three of their own.
Â
