No. 25 Panthers Open Spring Break with a Pair of Convincing Wins

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The No. 25 ranked women's tennis team has opened their spring break with a pair of convincing wins as they defeated Augusta (Ill.) 8-1 on Monday and then swept all nine matches from Southeastern (Fla.) yesterday. DU faces No. 23 Webber International today and concludes their trip with a match against Mt. St. Mary on Friday.

Patrick Grashorn has his women's tennis team off to a great start in the sunshine state for their annual spring break trip as the Lady Panthers have won both matches in convincing fashion.
On Monday, DU posted an 8-1 win over Augustana. DU started out by taking two of three in the doubles portion that featured an 8-0 sweep by the team of
Diana Favela and
Denisse Favela. The Panthers then ran off wins in all six of the singles matches.
Angelica Woods,
Stephanie Fortney and
Denisse Favela won by the most convincing scores of 6-2, 6-0.
In Tuesday's match against Southeastern, the Panthers were even more dominate as dropped only 18 total games in the singles matches and 3 games in the doubles portion.
Stephanie Fortney posted a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles as did
Angelica Woods at No. 5 singles.
DU has a big match on Wednesday as they face No. 23 Webber International.
