MILWAUKEE, Wis. - After falling in a close match on Friday night to end up splitting their two matches, the Lady Panthers returned to the court on Saturday and picked up a pair of three set sweeps over Huntington and host Cardinal Stritch.  DU is now 5-3 on the year with a match at Rochester scheduled for Wednesday.

The first match of the day was an uneven one from the very beginning as DU won easily in three sets over Huntington University - 25-11, 25-17, 25-18.  11 different players posted kills in the match led by sophomore Brittany Bott (Hudsonville, Mich.) who finished with eight while Jennifer Brunink (McBain, Mich.) and Kassie Graves (White Cloud, Mich.) each chipped in with six a piece.

The offense was very impressive throughout the match as DU finished with a .358 hitting percentage while putting away 40 kills.  Kayla Vandermolen (Cedar Springs, Mich.) dished out 32 assists while junior Courtney DePriest (Grand Rapids, Mich.) finished with a team high nine digs.

The second match was much closer as DU took on the host school Cardinal Stritch.  In front of a frenzied crowd, the Lady Panthers won in three sets (25-18, 25-19, 25-17) to complete the two match sweep on Saturday.

The sophomore trio of Brittany Bott (Hudsonville, Mich.), Kelse Moon (Fremont, Mich.) and Kassie Graves (White Cloud, Mich.) combined to post 22 kills in the match and senior Joyce Larioza chipped in with eight.

Defensively the team was outstanding finishing with 43 digs and held the host Wolves to just a .087 hitting percentage.  Blocking wise, DU also stood out as they combined for two solo blocks and 14 assist blocks.

The two wins combined with the one on Friday helped the Lady Panthers to a 3-1 weekend record which lifts them to 5-3 on the year.  DU will take on Rochester College on the road on Wednesday before traveling to Madonna for the annual Julie Martin Memorial Tournament over the weekend.
