DES MOINES, Iowa - With a chance to set the school record for consecutive wins in a row, the Panthers fell victim to a very strong Grand View team on the road 1-0.  The only goal of the game was scored on a penalty kick as DU falls to 6-3-0 on the year.

The schedule continues to get only harder for the men's soccer team as they faced yet another opponent either ranked in the Top 25 or receiving votes in Grand View University.  The Viking improved to 6-0-0 on the year with the 1-0 victory.

The defense for each team was the story of the game as there were only a total of 10 shots on net for the entire 90 minutes of play.  Unfortunately, the Panthers only had two of those from Stuart Collins (Cork, Ireland) and Ryan Duffy-McGirr (Chesterfield, England).

Goalkeeper Kevin O'Brien (Cork, Ireland) was again very solid in net as the only goal he gave up was on a penalty kick in the 35th minute.  O'Brien finished the game with seven saves and now has just a 1.00 GAA on the season.

Davenport will return to the field on Wednesday when they travel to Elgin, IL to take on #22 Judson University. Game time is set for 5:00 PM EST.
