Lady Panthers Fall in Nightcap to Chapman 12-4

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - A shortage of offense was the difference in Davenport's second game of the year out in California as they fell 12-4 to Chapman. The loss sends DU to 0-2 on the year as they take on California-SD and University of San Diego today.
After giving up 18 goals in the first game to Westminster, the defense held strong in the day's second game but the offense struggled to keep up. The Panthers opened the first half with two quick goals from Jessica Talcott (Ada, Mich.) in the game's opening minute.
DU would strike twice more in the opening half from Michon Moline (Rockford, Mich.) at the 19:27 mark and Kendra Stieg (Reed City, Mich.) with 3:53 to play in the first.
Unfortunately that would be their only goals of the game as they were shutout in the second finally falling 12-4.
DU will take on California-San Diego at 1:00 PM EST on Saturday and finish with a game against University of San Diego at 4:00 PM EST.
