ANN ARBOR, Mich. - On a very windy day Davenport defeated Concordia 17-0 in 6 innings and then 5-1 in 11 innings. The wins lift DU to 26-21 on the year and 11-13 in WHAC play.

In the first game of the doubleheader the Panthers scored first with two runs in the third and fourth innings before adding another in the fifth. Up 6-0 DU when on a hitting spree in the sixth inning when they rallied off 12 runs, to put them up 17-0 going into the bottom of the inning.

6 different Davenport players had two hits and both Kristina Krum and Kristin Miedema went deep with homeruns. Karlee Despres would pitch another 6 inning gem in which she only gave up two hits while striking out two.

Game two would prove the same results for the Panthers but in different fashion. They would need 11 innings to solidify the win.

Scoring early in the third inning, Concordia would push a run of their own over in the fifth to tie the game at 1-1. The scored would stay knotted for the next five innings before DU scored 4 runs in the 11th, three coming off a homerun by Haley Stehouwer.

Davenport will look to continue their winning ways tomorrow when they take on Siena Heights in Adrian, MI. Game time is set for 1:00pm.
