Second #1 Team Goes Down at Hands of Panthers D3 Team

HOLLAND, Mich. - For the second time in as many weeks, the Davenport D3 Hockey team defeated the #1 ranked team in the region. Saturday night, DU posted a thrilling 6-5 overtime win against Hope College on their home ice.
Last week, the Panthers, a first year program, defeated Saginaw Valley State in Saginaw and this week stayed hot on the road as they defeated the Dutchmen in their own building.
Davenport now will focus on the North Regional Tournament which starts on Thursday, February 12 at Southside Ice Center. Davenport will be the #6 seed in the 3-10 tournament. The top two teams in the region get a bye to the National Tournament and Teams 3-10 will battle for two spots!
