Ouellette's Two 2nd Period Goals Lift DU to 6-4 win over Adrian College

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Chad Ouellette scored two goals, both in the second period, as he lifted DU to a 6-4 win over Adrian College. The win finishes off a long weekend for the Panthers' D3 team as they will now host Delta College on Friday.
The opening period finished at a dead even 2-2 after DU got goals from Jordan Phillips (Swartz Creek, Mich.) and Michael Stedman (Riverside, Ontario). Assists were collected by Stedman and Jake Williams (Jenison, Mich.) on the first goal and Andy Holtrop (Walker, Mich.) and Justin Welker (Speedway, Ind.) on the second.
The defense then buckled down and kept Adrian scoreless in the second period as DU put up two more goals to take a 4-2 lead into the final period. Scoring both goals for the Panthers was Chad Ouellette (Windsor, Ontario).
Two minutes into the final period, Maz Worsley (Grand Rapids, Mich.) took a puck from Mike Buwolda (Holland, Mich.) and put it by the Adrian net-minder to push the lead to 5-2.
Unfortunately, the Bulldogs did not quit and they got two breakway goals to make things interesting down the stretch but after Adrian pulled their goalie, DU's Sam Waldhart (Walker, Mich.) scored an empty netter for the final outcome of 6-4.
Davenport will host Delta College on Friday before traveling there on Saturday.
