Box Score

Alma, Mich. - On a perfect sunny Saturday afternoon, the Panthers took full advantage of every opportunity as they downed Alma College 27-1. The convincing win lifts DU to 7-1 on the year as they will now host UM Dearborn on Sunday afternoon at MVP Sports-Plex.

The defense made a huge difference in the game but not only allowing just one goal, but also scoring seven goals. Both teams played a clean game as only three minutes of penalties were recorded and the Panthers offense could not be stopped.  Jake Stricker started the game in goal but it was finished by Nick Travers who made five saves while giving up the long Scot goal.

The first quarter was pretty much all Davenport needed for the victory as they jumped out to a 14-0 lead after just 15 minutes. They would increase the lead to 20-0 by halftime and cruise to their 4th straight victory from there.

Shawn Beer and Adam Boonenberg led the offense with five goals each as ten other Panthers scored points in the victory.

DU will now host UM Dearborn on Sunday afternoon at MVP Sports-Plex at 1:00 PM
