GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Davenport women's tennis team faced familiar foe Northwestern Ohio from their days in the NAIA and WHAC. The Racers squeaked out a 4-3 win at Davenport on Friday afternoon at Grand Rapids Racquet Club.

DU got a point winning two of the three doubles matches. Danica Malan and Willemien Coetzee won 6-4 at one doubles. Adeline Nelson and Vladislava Shumilova won 6-3 at two doubles.

Shumilova got another win in singles at the four spot with a 6-0, 6-3 triumph over Mona Hofmann. Malan also won at two singles 6-2, 6-4 over Veronica Rydstrom.
