Panthers fall 5-1 to #5 Northwestern Ohio in WHAC Tournament Championship

LIMA, Ohio - The Davenport women's tennis team could not pull out the upset on the courts over #5 Northwestern Ohio on Saturday in the final of the WHAC Tournament hosted by the Racers. The 18th-ranked Panthers captured one of the three doubles matches but could not earn a win in singles falling 5-1. Bridget Barrett and Hannah Murphy had the battle of their lives against Ana Lacerda and Xiomara Aguilar at three doubles winning 9-8. The other two matches saw DU get just three games as they trailed 2-1 after doubles. The Racers then had three straight set wins in singles in the top three spots to close out the five points needed to win the title.
